    About Aluma

    Aluma 6810h Utility Trailer

Aluma got its start in 1992 when Dean Maschoff began building aluminum trailers his friends could use to haul their golf carts. Maschoff chose to build them out of aluminum due to its rust-resistant properties and light weight. Word of the trailers’ quality got around, and by 1995 the company had moved to a 12,000-square-foot building in Bancroft, Iowa; Aluma doubled the size of its facility in 1998. Maschoff sold the business to KLM Acquisition Company in 2000. The company expanded two more times, including the addition of a second facility in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

    Diverse Offerings

As Aluma’s business expanded, so did its product line, which now includes a variety of recreational trailers for ATVs, snowmobiles, watercraft, and more, single- and tandem-axle utility trailers, flatbed equipment trailers, car haulers, tilt trailers, truck beds, towable motorcycle trailers, and even a line of picnic tables and park benches as well as a variety of parts and accessories. The company’s utility trailer offerings range in size from 48 by 72 inches (1,219 by 1,828 millimeters) on the lower end of the single axle lineup to 96 by 266.5 in. (2k,438 by 6,769 mm) on the higher end of the tandem axles with an array of sizes in between.
