Demco Launches New 22 Series 1722 & 2222 Grain Carts

Demco recently added two new models to its 22 Series grain carts: the 1722 and the 2222. The manufacturer launched the 22 Series in 2019 with 1,100- and 1,300-bushel capacities, but 1722 and 2222 raise the bar considerably at 1,700 and 2,200 bushels, respectively. Those figures are based on No.2 corn with a test weight of 56 pounds (25 kilograms). Demco says the 2222’s 2,200-bushel capacity is enough to fill two semi-trailers.

These new grain carts both feature a 22-inch-diameter unload auger with an unload rate of up to 600 bushels per minute. Operators can adjust the height of the auger as well as the spout to make “unloading quick, easy, and efficient,” Demco says. They also have a dual-auger design that offers even better visibility during unloads. Other features include 1050 and 900 fixed tandem tires for the 2222 and 1722, respectively, and a PTO-driven drivetrain with its own gearbox that doesn’t require belts or pulleys.

More Demco Grain Carts

In addition to its 22 Series horizontal drag auger grain carts, Demco also manufactures a line of gravity flow grain carts with options for single wheels, oscillating dual wheels, or tracks. As with the 22 Series, the model names of these carts give you an idea of their capacity, with the smallest in the range, the 650, having a capacity of 650 bushels, and the largest (the 1270) weighing in at 1,270 bushels. The 650 and 1270 have unload rates of 250 and 530 bushels per minute, respectively. Other features across the product line include 7,000-pound (3,175-kilogram) drop-leg tongue jacks, LED tail lights and a halogen auger spotlight, and multiple grain viewing windows.
